Veterinary Infectious Diseases is a field of study that focuses on major infectious diseases affecting animals worldwide, as well as zoonotic diseases that impact both animal and human health. It encompasses the study of the characteristics of infectious agents, epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, and pathological changes associated with these diseases.

By integrating knowledge and approaches from fundamental veterinary sciences, including microbiology, immunology, pathology, and molecular biology, our research and education aim to elucidate the mechanisms underlying the development and transmission of infectious diseases. In particular, we focus on developing diagnostic technologies and infection control strategies for the early detection, surveillance, and prevention of disease transmission among animals and between animals and humans.
