Laboratory of Veterinary Avian Diseases

Avian diseases laboratory provides expertise covering etiology, epidemiology, pathology, diagnosis and prevention of infectious and non-infectious avian diseases, and study research fields related with them. In addition, avian diseases laboratory also suggests policy alternatives for national disease control through poultry diseases research, and pursues one-health value including animals and human health and welfare, sustainable poultry industry and wildlife ecosystem conservation.

Research Interests

  • Development of diagnostics, preventive and therapeutic vaccines of poultry diseases such as avian influenza, coronavirus infections.
  • Provision of diagnostic and preventive program services for poultry farms.
  • Development of therapeutic materials based on pathogens of avian origin.
